Stop Amazon Hijackers Without a Trademark or Brand Registry (10-Foot Fence Strategy)
While you’re waiting to trademark your brand, and enroll in Amazon Brand Registry, just follow these simple steps:
First, you’re in the PRIVATE LABEL business – so make sure you label your products. It’s surprising how many sellers import generic looking products without any thought put into actually branding their product(s). This step not only makes it more difficult for a hijacker to jump on your listing but it will also make it easier for you to differentiate your product(s) when you’re filing an “inauthentic product complaint” to Amazon – just in case a hijacker does appear on your ASIN.
Second, a preventative measure for stopping hijackers is bundling products. Any potential hijackers would have to spend more time, energy and money on finding and bundling the items you’ve bundled.
These two steps in our 10-Foot Fence Strategy alone would help fend-off most hijackers. However, for those more aggressive hijackers, you may want to consider hiring an attorney. We’ve helped countless Amazon Third-Party Sellers appeal bogus complaints and get their ASIN reinstated, so don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
