Born in Michigan and having grown up near Philadelphia, Craig is currently located near Raleigh, North Carolina in the United States.
As a member of ESQgo, Craig works at the Intellectual Property (IP) Law Department ensuring that the legal advice he provides is tailored to the individual needs of each client. He has assisted our clients in analyzing and improving their IP portfolios and filing new IP rights. In addition, he is always prepared to deliver creative solutions to help our clients resolve any disputes. Although he focuses on IP Law (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets), he also assists our clients in other legal matters, such as contract review.
Craig has been working in every aspect of patent law for over 20 years and has worked in other areas of law for more than 10. He was responsible for all IP in the Americas for a major international manufacturing corporation, and has experience working with clients of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Throughout his career, Craig has been invited to impart several IP seminars and has trained employees of all levels on IP in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. Also, he has trained European employees on US IP law.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University. Later, he started his legal career by working for the USPTO as a patent examiner, then left for the private sector and received a JD in Law from the Western Michigan University – Cooley Law School (formerly Thomas M. Cooley Law School) while working as a patent agent. He has worked in corporate legal departments and law firms ever since.
A family man, Craig enjoys spending time with his family as well as cooking and outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and white-water rafting.
Craig is licensed in Michigan and with the United States Patent & Trademark Office for both patents and trademarks.
